How IRON compares to the average across all indexed robots (normalized 0-10 scale)
XPeng's IRON humanoid robot leverages the Chinese electric vehicle maker's autonomous driving AI stack for embodied intelligence. Standing 178 cm tall with 62 active joints producing over 200 degrees of freedom in motion, the IRON features 22-DOF hands capable of manipulating everything from eggs to large boxes. It is the first humanoid to deploy all-solid-state battery technology, providing enhanced safety and energy density. Full-body soft skin with embedded touch sensors provides haptic feedback across the entire frame, while 720-degree vision eliminates blind spots. Three Turing AI chips deliver 2,250 to 3,000 TOPS of computing power, running XPeng's VLA 2.0 physical world model. XPeng targets mass production by end of 2026.
